Gamma terms of use for AI presentations

These terms govern access to Gamma’s marketing site and AI presentation product. They are written so founders, sellers, and operators can see the rules that actually matter: accounts, acceptable use, your content rights, AI output responsibility, disclaimers, and limits of liability. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using Gamma, you agree to these terms. If you use Gamma on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction and must not use Gamma where doing so would violate applicable law or your employer’s policies.

We may update these terms when the product or legal requirements change. The “Updated” date will change when material terms move. If a change is significant, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms for future use of the service.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that appear compromised, that abuse generation capacity, or that violate acceptable use. Do not share login credentials across an entire team unless the product explicitly supports shared workspaces designed for that purpose.

Billing plans, usage limits, and feature availability may change. Where paid plans apply, fees are due as described at checkout or in an order form. Failure to pay may result in suspension. Taxes may apply based on your location. Refunds, if any, follow the plan terms shown at purchase unless required otherwise by law.

The service, what Gamma provides

Gamma provides tools to draft outlines, generate and edit presentation content, present from a link, and export files when available. Features evolve. We do not guarantee that every layout, export, or model output will match a designer-built keynote or a pixel-perfect PowerPoint master. Our marketing pages describe intended workflows; they are not warranties that a specific deck will close a round or win a deal.

Concrete expectation: outline-first drafting accelerates structure; you still own the argument. Present links are often the best live artifact; exports may need cleanup. That honesty appears on product pages for a reason, these terms reinforce that AI output is a draft you must review before high-stakes use.

Your content and license to Gamma

You retain ownership of the prompts, files, and deck content you submit, subject to third-party rights in material you did not create. You grant Gamma a worldwide license to host, process, transmit, display, and create derivative technical representations of that content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service you use (for example, rendering slides, generating exports, or debugging a failed build).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content you paste, including customer names, metrics, logos, and quotes. Do not upload material that infringes copyright, discloses someone else’s trade secrets without permission, or violates confidentiality agreements. If you include third-party trademarks in a pitch, you are responsible for whether that use is allowed.

Feedback you send about the product may be used to improve Gamma without obligation to you. Please do not submit feedback that includes secrets you do not want us to retain.

AI outputs and human responsibility

Model outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or stylistically fluent while wrong. You must verify facts, figures, citations, legal statements, and competitive claims before presenting to investors, customers, students, or executives. Gamma is not your lawyer, banker, doctor, or compliance officer. Do not treat generated ROI slides, medical claims, or securities statements as authoritative.

Worked example: if Gamma drafts a traction slide with a metric you pasted incorrectly, the error is yours to catch. If it invents a customer quote you did not provide, delete it, that is exactly the failure mode our editorial policy rejects on marketing pages, and the same judgment applies inside your deck. Forced human edit is part of acceptable professional use.

Acceptable use

You may not use Gamma to:

• Break the law, or generate content whose primary purpose is fraud, malware, or phishing.
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts, decks, or non-public systems without authorization.
• Overwhelm the service with automated scraping or generation abuse that degrades availability for others.
• Resell raw model access in a way that bypasses Gamma’s interfaces and rate limits without a partnership agreement.
• Upload unlawful, harassing, or exploitative content, including sexual content involving minors.
• Misrepresent that Gamma-endorsed your fundraising, employer, or product claims.

Marketing-site content (guides, compares, method rubric, examples) is owned by Gamma unless otherwise noted. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link for criticism, education, or commentary. You may not copy entire pages into a competing product or SEO property. Evaluation claims on this site follow the method page; cloning our score language without the underlying tests is both a copyright and an honesty problem.

Intellectual property, Gamma’s side

The Gamma name, logos, product UI, software, and original marketing content are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights to use the service, no license is granted to copy the product, reverse engineer it except where legally permitted, or use our marks in a way that implies partnership without permission.

If you believe content on Gamma infringes your copyright, send a notice through the support channel on /about with the URL, a description of the work, and a statement of good-faith belief. We will review and respond as required by applicable law.

Third-party services

Gamma may integrate login providers, payment processors, analytics, and model APIs. Those services have their own terms. Your use of present links, exported PPTX/PDF files, and shared URLs may also involve tools outside Gamma’s control once a recipient downloads or forwards them. We are not responsible for third-party sites you navigate to from outbound links in our guides.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gamma is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that outputs will be error-free, that exports will be identical to on-screen layouts, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Category comparisons on this site are Gamma-published evaluations, not independent lab certifications — see /method.

Nothing on the marketing site is investment advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of fundraising or sales outcomes. Annotated examples are teaching shapes, not promises that your metrics will look the same.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gamma and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service or reliance on AI outputs. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid to Gamma for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if you have not paid, unless mandatory law says otherwise.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, limits apply to the maximum extent permitted. These terms do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Gamma harmless from claims arising out of content you submit, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these terms or third-party rights, including investor or customer claims that rely on unverified AI-generated statements you chose to present.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Gamma at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your license to access the product ends; clauses that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive. Export important decks before you close an account if you need offline copies.

Governing law and disputes

Unless a separate enterprise agreement says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws applicable to Gamma’s operating entity as identified in-product or on /about, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would invoke another jurisdiction’s laws. Courts in that venue will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protections give you other rights. Informal resolution through support is encouraged before formal disputes.

When you should distrust a terms page

Distrust terms that promise AI perfection. Distrust silence about who owns generated decks. Distrust unlimited liability disclaimers paired with aggressive data-training claims that are not mirrored in privacy docs. Distrust marketing that says “legal reviewed” without a dated policy. Hold us to specificity: your content license, AI responsibility, acceptable use, and real contact paths. If this page becomes hollow, treat that as a trust defect and ask for clarification before you put confidential material into prompts.
